The Ritz - refurbished by legendary cinema group Merlin cinemas this new arts venue has been renovated to the highest standards. This is unlike any venue in the area with table service and premium bars in the downstairs stalls and amazing views from the balcony.

Can I move between areas - like any venue you can acess all areas but during screenings and talks you’ll be seated in the area you booked except for the after party when stalls will be open for all.
Can I move in and out - yes, just like you would at any theatre but for the evening event access maybe limited.

Celebrating 30 years of Cornwall’s iconic surf comedy Blue Juice. Featuring special guests + exclusive appearances this one-off event has been curated by the film’s director with the help of some wonderful locals. So come and support the community + our favourite charities by buying tickets now.
This is more than a one off screening combining guest appearances with special features and an afternoon screening of a new festival favourite - The Cigarette Surfboard. An exclusive presentation for the start of it’s 2025-2026 season.
All of this at Penzance’s brand new premium venue - The Ritz. Lovingly restored by Merlin Cinemas + it’s owner Geoff Reaves. Splash out on a ticket in the stalls and get table service from the venue’s restaurant and bar but that’s not all…

It’s going off - again!
Thanks to the new state of the art screen and sound system of the Ritz you’d get to see Blue Juice in its original version. A high definition print rarely seen outside of premium London Cinemas. That’s not all as the new theatre also has that good old Dolby sound so this time, when those bone crunching waves crash, well it’s going to be (in the words of + Crab) - Epic!

A brand new venue
Right in the heart of Penzance
Locals might know it exists but the doors have not be open for many years. Now thanks to the monumental efforts of another local legend Geoff Reaves this art deco venue has been restored to well beyond its foirmer glory and we’ll be one of the first events through its door.
Split across two levels with an upstairs balcony that holds over 100 the Rotz combines original faetures with new state of the art additions. Downstairs the seating is split between premium tables and additional seating. The stalls also benefits from waiter service at certail points within the shows. There’s also a limited number of luxury boxes available to sponsors
There’s nothing like this in the area so come and be one of the first to experience this new state of the art Cornish venue.
